Fashion Fairy Tales

I was so excited when I heard about the Fashion Fairy Tale Memoir books! The author, Camilla Morton who has worked for Vogue and John Galliano has written a series of  ' Fashion Fairy Tales'.
I received the first book of the collection this morning Christian Lacroix and the tale of Sleeping Beauty.... and it is simply beautiful.
The press release read “fairy tale and haute couture mix charmingly in this re-imagined story. . . .”

The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and its a refreshing way of seeing the traditional fashion drawings but combined with story of Prince Charming. (Lacroix's life has been woven into the fabric of the fairy tale)

This book is perfect to dip in and out of if you're wanting a little light hearted fashion pick me up!
Others titles in the Fashion Fairy Tales series to follow are, Manolo Blahnik, John Galliano and Diane Von Furstenburg...... Can't wait!

SS11 photoshoot

05:30

So, I have finally got my blog up and running and thought I would start with the SS11 photoshoot.
These beautiful pictures were taken by India Hobson, a photographer whose work I have always loved.
There is always an element of mystery in her photographs which I adore.
India is definitely one to watch and I am excited for her to be shooting my next collection in a much warmer climate very soon! (exciting details to come)
We were lucky that it turned out to be a such a beautiful day, (rain the day before and rain the day after!) we even managed to find a sweet old couple who were dressed in colour coordinated outfits to the models! They happily posed for a picture which turned out to be one of the highlights of my day and one of my favourite images!

Thanks to the talented Sophie Ashworth for the gorgeous make up and thanks to all the gorgeous models... Liam Pickett, Ellie Hallsworth, Danielle Nikki Chrie and Sophie Caplan (thanks sis!)
